MAKE YOUR OWN DM VIDEO

Interview and video students, faculty - anyone! Get their comments and opinions on hot-button political issues. Then create a short video (or videos) to distribute on your DM social media.

Tips for Success:

Tell them their opinion is important to you.

Interview while tabling, walking around campus, canvasing etc.

Ask provocative questions that get people talking - What’s the biggest threat to democracy today? What issue is most important to you? Why? Have you ever been to a rally?

Around election time, ask about voting - Are you planning to vote? Why? What’s the most important election issue? Do students deserve a voice in politics?

Make your videos short, both serious and funny, add music etc.

Get everyone’s names and contact information to send them the video and ask them to post it on their social media.
