DM AMBASSADORS OUTREACH PROGRAm
DM Ambassadors are DM member who build relationships between DM and other campus clubs - especially with clubs they already belong to. At meetings of other campus clubs, DM Ambassador announce DM events, offer to register voters, explore collaboration, collect signatures on DM petitions, and more.
Tips For Success
Ask DM members to list theeir participation in other campus clubs
Prioritize outeach to clubs that seem most similar in structure or content to DM (but all clubs are possible links because our goal is to involve all students in voting and democracy issues!)
Assign each DM member to be an Ambassador to one or two of their clubs
Provide DM members with a list of Ambassador duties and sample scripts
Hold Ambassador “Training Sessions” where DM members can practice being Ambassadors.
Give Ambassadors a deadline by which to introduce themselves to their other clubs as DM Ambassadors.
Hold a DM meeting with an Ambassador “Discussion Session” where they can share experiences and where everyone can brainstorm solutions to any issues or problems.
